Graham Family Funerals is Hobart’s only family owned and operated funeral home conducting funerals throughout Tasmania. Our compassion and professionalism mean that you are always assured of our genuine understanding and a warm smile. Our service is designed to ensure you don’t have to worry about a thing.

We have been operating in the community since 1896. While we pride ourselves on our history, we are also modern and progressive. We have the latest facilities and professionally trained staff.

Our funeral services are available to our families 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and include a free bereavement follow up service and counselling referrals and an in-house Justice of the Peace for your convenience.

Our History

Founded in 1896 as Pierce J Keating Funeral Director and later purchased by Peter and Ann Graham in 1986, the Graham Family Funerals business has since expanded to provide local contacts in various regions of southern Tasmania, such as Kingston, Derwent and Huon valleys.

Our services extend from taking your loved one into our care, walking you through the funeral arrangements and administering to every detail on your behalf, to preparing for and taking care of all the arrangements for the funeral service. This is done with compassion, professionalism, courtesy, dignity and understanding. We continually strive to meet and exceed your expectations in the personal quality of care given to you and your loved one.

As a member firm of the AFDA, we are bound by a strict code of ethics and standards.

We employ a qualified, professional embalmer, awarding us with membership to “The Australian Institute of Embalming.”

Our staff take the emotional needs of grieving families seriously and are all trained in bereavement car
